RECYCLING

Recycling guidelines are different in each county. Please see below for residential recycling information.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS

Mixed paper & Newspaper:
·Brown Paper bags, construction paper, toilet & paper towel rolls,
·Catalogs, cereal boxes, any cards, envelopes, paper egg cartons,
·Glossy paper, magazines, office paper, TV guides, junk mail,
·Soda and beer cartons, frozen food boxes, wrapping paper, paperback books
·Cardboard. Boxes must be flattened and cut into pieces no larger than 3’X3’
Plastic
· All plastic bottles and jugs with a #1 or#2 on the bottom. Please remove the lid.
Glass Bottles and Jars
Please remove lids
Metal Cans
· Aluminum, steel beverage and food cans.

NOT RECYCLABLE

Plastic bags, aluminum foil, paint cans, motor oil, antifreeze, and pesticide containers
Plastic wrap, dishes and cookware, drinking glasses, light bulbs, broken mirror or window glass
Styrofoam, dog food bags, juice cartons or boxes, paper towels or napkins, wax paper
Any container that has had food in contact with it - example, pizza boxes
Ceramics, such as dishware, ovenware, and decorative items.
